Using the Scientific Method to Conduct Your Experiment

In your journal, write up your experiment (If working with a team or partner you should design the experiment collaboratively, but each team member is responsible for recording the following information about the experiment his his/her journal):

What key question will this experiment answer?

What is your hypothesis (best educated guess about what will happen)?

What tools and equipment will you need to do your experiment?

How will you collect your data?

How will you report your data?

Record your procedure.

Record the data you collect.

What conclusions can you make based on the data you collected?

Was your hypothesis correct? If not, why not?

What other questions to you have now that you have done this experiment?
