PERSONAL OBSERVATIONS NAME____________________

After completing all of your group water tests, begin to make observations about the area we are in today. Look for signs (evidence) of how the river affects the bushes and trees, and look at the ground for signs of how it is affected by the river too.

BUSHES AND TREES ....in the riverbed? Compare what is on the two different sides of the river. What grows further up the slope? How many Kinds of trees and bushes?

GROUND .....Is there soil on the riverbed? Sand? rocks? Big rocks? What is the shape or appearance of the rocks? Are they the same as the rocks along the banks? Why do you think soil or rocks have the appearance you have observed? Explain why you think it would appear different (or the same) upstream near the source.

HOW DEEP DO YOU THINK THE RIVER BECOMES DURING THE RAINY SEASON ? WHAT EVIDENCE DO YOU SEE?

WHERE DO YOU THINK THIS RIVER STARTED? WHAT ARE SOME WAYS THAT YOU COULD FIND OUT?
