Phosphorus is the fifteenth (15) element in the PERIODIC TABLE. A scientist named Hennig Brand discovered it in 1669. He found it inside his urine! ("His", meaning he probably owned it...we think...unless he took someone else's...let's not go into it)

Phosphorus is very REACTIVE. You can find pure Phosphorus in three ways... It can be in a black powder, it can be a yellow wax, and it can also be found in a red powder. That's a lot of different ways for one ELEMENT to exist!
