Sulfur is the sixteenth (16) element in the PERIODIC TABLE. It is important to know that sometimes Sulfur is also spelled SULPHUR. They often do this in countries where proper English is spoken (England and Australia). Either one is OK.

Sulfur is a yellowish color, often found as a crystal. At normal temperatures, Sulfur is NON-REACTIVE. There is a lot of Sulfur just sitting underground in Texas and Louisiana.
