Lawyer
A lawyer is a person who has had specialized training in legal matters. Most lawyers go to law school and then take the Bar - a very difficult, comprehensive exam that qualifies them to present cases in courts before judges.
In a biotech company, a lawyer's
job is mostly in business law - they prepare and review contracts, write
patents, and set up licensing agreements if another company or individual
has the patent of material or a procedure the company wants to use.
