There are a great many uses for color photos in the class-room. Poster displays with current images are always interesting. Also, you could have your students do research by collecting pictures which are accurate portrayals of some subject they are interested in such as the sun or weather or outer space. Students are much more interested in pictures than in text. Have them visit general SCORE based web sites for ideas about what to do and use this image library to find images to illustrate their findings. School show cases look great with new pictures from your students work. Try also to scan existing photographs from film cameras or use your own digital images to illustrate your student's work. There is nothing like a few appropriate pictures to add a little something extra to their reports. Use this image data-base to make your own color overheads to illustrate a lecture. Just make sure you buy overhead transparency material made for ink-jet printers. The ink blurs badly if you print on normal clear plastic and your transparencies are spectacular if you do them on the right material !
