ACTIVITY PAGE
- Create a marine science journal using the computer or an actual notebook. In your journal you should note:
- Composition of a lagoon
- Lagoon Life
- Details of fin sightings
- Types of aquatic life that may match the details reported
- Details of each potential "fin bearer"
- Analysis and conclusions based on your finding of lagoon life sustainment potential and species-specific anatomical comparisons to sightings.
- Create a poster of a lagoon with an attached report that explains how a lagoon is able to sustain both fresh and saltwater aquatic life. How is a lagoon different from a lake? From the sea?
- Make a chart graphically illustrating the type of whales, sharks, dolphins, etc. that could have been sighted. Note characterisitics such as size, indentifying marks and coloration, and feeding habits.
- Make a list of questions that come up during your search. Each question should Read you to new information and ultimately to your conclusion. If you need help on specific details, go to the Resource Page.
